SEO: No magic pill
There’s no magic pill to make your business appear in Google’s top ten results. It takes time, hard work, and skill to weave together the different factors that play into Google’s algorithm.
You see, Google wants to be useful and valuable to its users. So for example, when other local organizations link to your website, Google gets the message that your business is valuable to the community. Links are only one way to demonstrate value but they go a long way to boosting your position in Google’s search results.
Here are some other strategies we can use to raise your position in Google: optimize your site for local search, create localized content, solicit & manage reviews, make sure your business information is consistent across the web, and much more.
And of course, I’ll monitor your site regularly to make sure it stays competitive and remains as high as possible on Google’s pages.

Customer success stories: proof that you can deliver.
My unanimous 5 star feedback has earned me a “Top Rated” badge on Upwork. Check out my profile.
More than a simple testimonial
Everybody loves a testimonial, but customer success story guru Casey Hibbard argues that case studies are testimonials and a whole lot more.
Like testimonials, a customer success story (aka case study) showcases the results that you helped a client achieve. Unlike testimonials, case studies dive deep into client experiences by using a problem > solution > results style narrative to educate the reader about your solutions and measurable results. Insight like this goes far beyond a simple “Wow, great ice cream!” style testimonial.
More than a single-use marketing tool, case studies can also be repurposed to create all kinds of additional content. For example, they can be published in trade journals, edited for newsletters, grant applications, press releases, email outreach, one-pagers, and more.
My clients have called me ‘Talented!’ ‘Amazing!’ ‘Skilled!’ ‘Gifted!’ … Wait, gifted?
Okay, that last one is a bit much.
Toni Morrison I’m not, but the others I’ll take.
Seriously though, I’m a New York-based writer and storyteller. But wait! There’s more.
I love my work, but honestly, there's a lot more to live for:
This is what my clients are saying:
"Mike was a pleasure to work with. Not only did he deliver two amazing client success stories that we will use in our marketing efforts, but he was also super helpful in recruiting interviewees, creating a questionnaire, and facilitating discussions with staff so he could have a deeper understanding of our services.
I was so pleased when Mike committed to working with us again."
